The Digital Ceiling: Organisional Issues that Prevent Good Campaigning Online
=============================================================================

Increasingly, the main barriers to effective e-campaigning are organisational issues around management vision, budgeting, resourcing, inclusion in planning, etc. This has created a digital ceiling in the organisation that campaigning professionals are find hard to break through.

This topic could be (depends on you) used to identify the barriers, what causes them and how to get past them. It could also explore identify strategies that could be used to address the issue in the sector as a whole and as individuals.

I think the digital ceiling is the biggest barrier that e-campaigers face. In my experiece this problem is not unique to campaigning but is faced by IT specialists operating in a non-IT focussed environment. I'm really keen to identify why this is so and to workshop some techniques for over coming it.
