How to Help with Invitations ----------------------------- The key help with invitations I am looking for is:

#. Vist the websites of NGOs? and identify if they do e-campaigning. Focus: Europe (except UK) and the Global South #. Identify people from each organisation to invite #. Finding out those people's contact details #. Contacting them to invite them to the 2010 eCampaigning Forum

To help you achieve this, I have supplied a default text to copy/, adapt and paste when you email them.

The Invite List --------------- The `invite list `_ is a list of organisations and people who might be interested in attending the 2010 eCampaigning Forum. It is hosted on Google Spreadsheet so we can all collaborate on it.

The rules for updating the invite list are:

• Alphabet order by organisation name - Organisations with no contact person need to be contacted to identify a contact person - The person who added the organisation/person is in the first column - The person who will contact the organisation/person is in the second column - If they are registered for ECF 2010 the third column has an Y in the third column (Status) - If they declined to to attend ECF 2010 put a N in the third column and any reason in the Details column - If an organisation doesn't do e-campaigning activity, put down NE (not eligible) in the Status column - DR = Duane, JW = Janelle, LW = Lesley, JD = Jess Day, BLR = Brie

The key consideration for ALL invitees is that their organisation must be currently doing some form of e-campaigning. Thus if they don't, put NE in the status column.

Invitation Text ---------------- When inviting people to attend the event, several key points need to be made:

#. ECF is an annual event is focused on knowledge sharing between experienced e-campaigning practitioners (vs. being spoken at by endless speakers) #. Includes participants from aound around the world #. You can see who else will be attending before you commit so you can plan who you want to talk with. Regardless of your interest in attending the ECF event, you can join the ECF network at http://fairsay.com/ecflist

Optional Points:

• See past participants and/or agendas at http://fairsay.com/ecf - The low value of the UK pound makes it cheaper to participate than in the past

I'm emailing to see if you (or someone else at [organisation name]?) are interested in participating in the 2010 eCampaigning Forum in Oxford, UK (23-24 March). This is an invite-only event for people that are actively campaigning online. Event participants learn from each other about what works and what doesn't. You can see who is registered to attend this year at: http://apply.ecampaigningforum.com/ecf2010/participants or see the theme, speakers and agenda at: http://fairsay.com/ecf10

Since the event is fundamentally about experienced e-campaigning practitioners sharing with each other, perhaps someone from [organisation name]? can attend too.
