To upgrade between eCampaigning Tool releases, prevent issues by following the instructions here.
All Upgrades
- Read the release notes including dependencies and update those products as necessary
- Update the filesystem version of the eCampaigning Tool and restart
- If you haven't edited (via the ZMI) the portal_properties > ecampaigning_properties or portal_properties > country_lists then you could delete them and they will be re-created in the next step
- From the ZMI, reinstall eCampaigning Tool from the portal_quickinstaller
- From the ZMI go to Archetype Tool > Update Schema (tab) and upgrade the eCampaigning Tool schemas (upgrades existing instances of eCampaigning Tool content - so you can also choose not to do this as new instances will reflect the latest version)
- Check that you don't have any customised versions of eCampaigning Tool files in the portal_skins/custom folder (or other folder you designate).
- Verify any existing Action Editions work (render and can be submitted) and that you can add new Action Editions.
- Done
Version 0.2 beta to 0.2 release candidate
Version 0.2 release candidate has an added component: actionrecord_catalog (via ZMI) to allow the public listing of action participants (if they didn't select anonymous). When upgrading, ensure (via the ZMI):
- actionrecord_catalog is created
- In portal_properties > ecampaigning_properties, the following properties and values (with type) exist. recent_actions_count: 200 (int) and actionrecord_catalog: actionrecord_catalog (string)
